What appeared to be just another “blown lead in the third period,” was, in fact, a story destined to end a bit differently than those which Pens fans have become accustomed to having read to them before bed. Casey DeSmith was responsible for some downright mind-blowing saves in this one, and the crowd let him know it. A great result, on a night of great consequence for Allegheny County’s NHL Franchise. The Penguins are back in action tonight, at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan.
