Things didn’t turn out the way we’d all hoped, but it’s been a wild ride - one we’re glad we took. If it weren’t for YOU - yes, we mean YOU - then we’d just be talking out into the void. And that, to say nothing of the Penguins’ season coming to an untimely close, is a pretttttty dark thought to think. OK, folks: Let’s tune in and support these Pens, one last time, and root them on to defeat the presumed champs of the Conor Bedard Lottery (CBJ-CBL). Sidney Crosby. Evgeni Malkin. Kris Letang. Jake Guentzel. Bryan Rust. Jason Zucker. Rickard Rakell. These players put on a truly entertaining show this year, did they not? Of course, there are other fish who require frying, and those stories will play themselves out as the horn - and hopefully not the blackpowder cannon at Nationwide Arena - sounds for the final time tonight.
