Casey DeSmith starts in net tonight, and my guess is that means Casey DeSmith isn’t getting pulled even if he gives up a handful of goals in the first period. I thought Casey played damn well against the Capitals two nights ago, but coming as that performance was on the heels of a fairly dreadful outing against Florida on Tuesday, CDS has yet to establish himself as solid-of-late. Sending good vibes out to DeSmith, may the force be with him. For if it is not, the Penguins will likely go to sleep on the outside of the playoff picture.
